Classic Motorcycle Mechanics

Three is a crowd!

I have been reading CMM after my Dad (who is currently restoring a twinshock DTL 75) got me hooked! It's a great read! While riding home from Morrisons this past sunny Bank Holiday on my 1978 TYL 75 I decided I would take a photo of my current bikes. When they were lined up it got me thinking, if you like bikes, you like them all. My TYL 75 was my first bike, and my 11th birthday present; my Dad and I restored it when I was 13, and I still ride it now in trials and I'm 30 this coming weekend! My 2010 KTM EXC-F 250 Champions Edition can put a smile on my face no matter what the weather or season! And my 2000 GSX-R600, the summer toy which is totally intoxicating when riding in the sun, I can't do enough miles on! These bikes are all worlds apart, all live together, all get used properly, and I like all of them for what they all are! My next bike: a home-built Bandit-based 'Scrambler'! I hope you enjoy this photo! Luke Campbell

Bertie says: "You lucky man! Good that you and Dad share a passion and a hobby. And keep us posted (and take pies) of that Bandit/scrambler build!"
