Guns N’ Roses were joined on stage by Angus Young during a recent gig in Hannover, Germany. The AC/DC guitarist, a good friend of Axl Rose after the latter stood in for Brian Johnson last year, played on the ’DC standards Whole Lotta Rosie and Riff Raff.

Saxon’s 22nd studio album is to be titled Thunderbol­t. Produced by Andy Sneap, it’s due out in January 2018 and will be backed by a huge tour. The album is set to include a tribute to Lemmy called They Played Rock And Roll.

Nikki Sixx says he has “unofficial­ly retired, or maybe just expired” from touring. The Mötley Crüe bassist has “no immediate plans” to go on the road again “unless I get a wild hair up my ass or something or somebody really inspiratio­nal comes along.” Mr. Big (pictured) have announced six UK dates at Nottingham Rock City November 16, Newcastle Northumbri­a University 17, London Shepherd’s Bush Empire 19, Manchester Academy 21, Glasgow ABC 22, Wolverhamp­ton Wulfrun Hall 23. Support comes from The Answer and Faster Pussycat.
