Roger Waters has voiced frustratio­n that the official Pink Floyd website and social media channels ignore him, claiming: “I am banned by David Gilmour.” Waters continues: “David thinks that because I left the band in 1985 that he owns Pink Floyd, that he is Pink Floyd and I’m irrelevant and should just keep my mouth shut. We should rise up… or, just change the name of the band to Spinal Tap.”

Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson’s estranged second wife, Paddy Bowden, has been found dead at the couple’s former home in West London following what has been called “a tragic accident”. The pair have three children: sons Austin (29, who fronts As Lions) and Griffin (28, singer with the band Shvpes) and daughter Kia (28).

Rob Halford (pictured) publishes his autobiogra­phy, Confess, on September 29 via Hachette Books. It was written with the assistance of Ian Gittins, co-author of The Heroin Diaries by Nikki Sixx. The Judas Priest frontman says he found the experience “exciting, fun, disturbing, terrifying and cathartic”, adding: “I’ve held nothing back.”

Ian Anderson has given clarificat­ion after revealing that he suffers from the lung condition chronic obstructiv­e pulmonary disease. “I meant that my days as a singer were numbered, rather than days to live,” he said. “I should be okay for a few more years, if Covid-19 doesn’t get me first.”
