Trivia fans will enjoy leafing this 196-page paperback, which offers a motoring fact (or several) for each day of the year. The focus is biased towards the US, but you have to admire the author’s determination to find at least one snippet per day – even 29 February (racer Masten Gregory was born in a leap year). The images are lacklustre, and you may not care when the first Malaysian car landed (the forgettable Proton Saga, on 9 July 1985), but there are some interesting anecdotes in here.
