BIDDERS GO FOR SUFFRAGE

A rare car badge for the Women’s Social and Political Union – also known as the ‘Suffragettes’ – stirred up some keen bidding at Bonhams’ pre-london to Brighton Run sale on 3 November. Dated circa 1910, the plain design features the slogan ‘Join the Drive: Votes for Women’ and eventually sold for £1875.
