Classic Trial

Adjustable Footrests

-

Another small design detail of PROPOL can be found in the footrest area. Everyone knows that for a trial many things happen in the head of the rider: “What if my footrests were lower or more backwards for the grip? Too light at the front perhaps??? “... Again not knowing how to decide I opted for the adjustable top / bottom and front / back. The idea lies in a plate fixed to the frame with five threaded holes allowing three levels of fixation in height (0, 12 & 24mm). A piece cut in a mass of aluminium ensures the connection between footrest and plate. The assembly is made by the use of two Allen screws. It is then sufficient to insert spacers of different thicknesses and to adapt the length of the screws in order to reposition the foot support at will. In this case I made two thicknesses of spacers 10 & 20mm, which gives me three adjustments forward / back (0, 10 & 20mm). Thus three levels of height adjustment and three levels of adjustment; this makes a total of nine settings. More than enough options to keep any rider happy, I would think.
