‘I’ve ruined my looks with nip tucks’

After two boob ops, a nose job, lip fillers and lipo, Marnie Simpson now regrets her surgery

-

She regularly S pouts for selfies on social media and shows off her size 10 figure in revealing outfits – but although Marnie Simpson appears super confident, she admits she’s secretly battling crippling insecurity over her looks.

Marnie, 25, reveals how her body dysmorphia – diagnosed in 2015 after she joined MTV show Geordie Shore – led her down the road of numerous surgical procedures.

Having undergone a boob job two years ago – going from a B-cup to a C-cup – and then corrective breast surgery, as well as a nose job, lip fillers and liposuction, Marnie now accepts she went too far.

DISTORTED BODY IMAGE

The reality star says: “When I joined the TV show I quickly began to loathe myself and feel insecure about the way I looked. I had a distorted image of my appearance and I believed I needed work done. I was worried I didn’t look as pretty as the other girls and because they were having work done, it felt like the norm.

“I was also being trolled on Twitter about my face and bum. I have tried Botox but I hated what it did to my face. I know I went overboard with my lips; and with liposuction, I felt like I’d been in a car crash afterwards. I was left with all these lumps and bumps. I thought, ‘Why I have done this?’ I’ve ruined my looks.”

But despite her surgery regrets, Marnie is still tempted to have more work done – although she rules out messing with her lips again.

She admits: “I always find things wrong with me and it’s taking all my willpower not to have any more surgery. I’ve had all the lip filler removed, but I want my chin shaved for a more chiselled look – though I don’t want to end up looking like a robot and ruining my looks even further. One thing I’d never have done is a facelift – it’s not fair to my mum. She made me and I don’t want to upset her, plus she thinks I don’t need any more surgery.”

ACCEPTING HER LOOKS

Stripping off for a photo shoot for self-tan range Utan and Tone, Marnie says she’s working hard on her body confidence.

She says: “I’m learning to be a lot happier with myself. My GP advised me to distract myself with hobbies so I don’t always think about my looks.”

Marnie – who has previously dated reality stars Aaron Chalmers and Ricky Rayment – broke up with former TOWIE star Lewis Bloor in December after he admitted cheating.

She says: “It’s the first time I’ve been cheated on, so it was tough. We were together for eight months and we’re still in contact. We’re trying to be friends but it’s complicated. I don’t know if I’m strong enough to forgive him. I need time by myself to work on my self-esteem.”
