‘I’d love to look like Mum at her age’

They regularly turn heads on the red carpet, so Jess Wright and her equally glamorous mum Carol are the last people you’d expect to admit to having body hang-ups. Jess, 31, who had a boob job in 2011, taking her from a C to a DD, admitted on Closer’s exclusive shoot: “I’m confident to an extent. I do really love curves; I’m just funny when it comes to my own. If I put on weight, it goes to my stomach and thighs.”

And although Jess struggles with her own body confidence, she reveals she’s a huge fan of her mum’s physique. She says: “Mum looks incredible, especially after four kids. I’d love to look like her at her age, but I have my dad’s build.”

Carol, 57 – who’s also mum to Mark, 30, Josh, 27, and 16-year-old Natalya – puts her size 12 figure down to “running around after my kids” and regular swimming classes. She told Closer: “I once had an ironing-board stomach, but just in the last three or four years, my weight has crept up to 9st. My tummy isn’t as toned. Jess has always covered up but it’s silly as she has an incredible figure.”
