MORE HEARTACHE FOR LAUREL

If John Middleton doesn’t scoop an award for his I portrayal as dementia-sufferer Ashley, we’ll head down to the Dales and personally milk some cows… Laurel has been a trooper since her beloved’s diagnosis over two years ago – but there’s further heartache in store for her this week (make it stop!) when Ashley has a violent coughing fit and is horrified to find blood on his hands… This is after Arthur falls ill, and Laurel refuses to go to Doug for help because he said something a bit mean to her last week. Elsewhere, Chas and Faith have a heart to heart – but it’s clear Faith is hiding something (mind you, so is Chas – seeing as Lucy Pargeter can only do hiding-behind-a-table scenes from now on as in real life she is pregnant with twins!).
