New fears for fragile steph
Pals are worried that troubled Stephanie Davis is pushing herself to extremes in a bid to hide her heartbreak
Her reconciliation H with Jeremy Mcconnell suffered a dramatic blow two weeks ago – but Stephanie Davis appeared to bounce back last week as she flaunted a slim figure just two months after giving birth to son Caben-albi.
The former Hollyoaks star was left “shaken and distressed” after ex Jeremy, who is the father to her son, was arrested on 16 March on suspicion of criminal damage and assault – just days after Stephanie, 24, shared a worrying photo of her bruised legs on social media.
Jeremy, 27, denied any wrongdoing and was later released pending a disposal decision [where police decide whether or not to pursue a case].
FEELING DEVASTATED
But as Stephanie – who went from a size 6-8 to a 12-14 during her difficult pregnancy – was spotted in exercise gear showing off a toned tummy, friends fear she’s pushing herself too far with regular workouts to take her mind off a turbulent few weeks.
A source says: “Stephanie is devastated about how things are between her and Jeremy. She’s saying that despite everything that’s happened over the past year, she still loves him, but isn’t sure there’s a way forward now. Getting back in shape seems to be a way of taking her mind off things and boosting her confidence. She’s been feeling very fragile.”
Just six weeks after giving birth, Stephanie had a course of non-invasive 3D lipo – where the fat cells are frozen and naturally disposed of. But friends have warned her against using such extreme measures.
A source says: “Pals think Stephanie needs to let the

weight come off naturally. They don’t think it’s healthy for her to be so focused on regaining her pre-baby body in such a quick time, especially after all the other stresses.”
An insider adds: “Stephanie said she felt insecure with her new curves and had cut out all treats. But friends don’t want her to become obsessive about her weight.”
PATERNITY TEST
Stephanie and Jeremy’s relationship has been a roller coaster since the pair first met in the Celebrity Big Brother house in January 2016. They dated for four months before splitting in April that same year.
Then, when Stephanie announced her pregnancy a month later, the pair become embroiled in a bitter exchange of words with Jeremy furiously denying he was the father.
After a paternity test in February confirmed Caben was Jeremy’s biological son, the pair were snapped on family days out together. Stephanie was pictured by Jeremy’s side during his father’s funeral in Ireland earlier this month – and she even said she’d love to have more kids with him.
But following reports of bitter rows between the pair earlier this month at Stephanie’s home in Liverpool, then Jeremy’s arrest, pals are urging her to put the brakes on any hope of renewing their relationship. Just days after Jeremy’s arrest, Stephanie “liked” a photo Jeremy posted with Caben on Instagram. A source says:
“Stephanie and Jeremy haven’t spoken since his arrest, but she ‘liked’ the pic because she’s hooked on the idea that Jeremy is going to be the perfect father. This was her way of reaching out.”
MILES APART
But the drama continued last week when Stephanie shared an intimate snap of her cuddling newborn Caben, at the same time as an image of Jeremy partying with a mystery blonde was uploaded to Snapchat.
A source adds: “It’s been a tough time for Stephanie – she thought they’d all be a happy family. But they’re miles apart – he’s in Ireland, while she’s in Liverpool – and they seem to battle drama after drama. She should be enjoying being a new mum, not worrying about what the future holds for them both.”
