lauren: “Joey loves my new body – he won’t look elsewhere!”
Lauren Goodger tells pals she’s thrilled with her size 10-12 figure and can’t wait to show her jailbird lover Joey when he’s released
Showing off her S sensational figure in a red bikini last week, insiders say Lauren Goodger is feeling more body confident than ever – and is convinced her body transformation has even strengthened her romance with boyfriend Joey Morrison.
Insiders say Joey, who is currently serving a 16-year sentence for a string of drugrelated offences but is set for release in March next year, is constantly complimenting Lauren, 30, on her figure and it’s brought them closer than ever.
A source says: “Joey is obsessed with fitness, and knowing that Lauren has put in so much hard work to get such an amazing body has made him feel really proud. He’s always telling her how toned and sexy she looks.
FITNESS FOCUSED
“Lauren has concentrated all her efforts on looking her very best for him when he’s finally out of prison early next year, and she’s hoping they can spend some private time together if he’s given another day release. She’s told friends she can’t wait to consummate the relationship, so she has to look better than ever.
“She knows that Joey’s always had lots of female admirers, and is conscious their attention could increase as his release date approaches, but she loves the fact
he’s solely focused on her – she doesn’t want him to stray.”
Lauren, who has yo-yoed between a size 14 and an 8, has attended three different boot camps in the past two months, and told Closer that Joey has even been giving her fitness tips from jail.
A source adds: “Although Lauren’s looking fantastic at a size 10/12, she wants to get down to a slim size 10. She’s still working out three times a week and cutting out fatty foods and heavy carbs. She’s determined not to regain the weight this time.”
Lauren – who was left heartbroken back in 2011 amid claims her on/off boyfriend of 10 years, Mark Wright, cheated on her with fellow co-star Lucy Mecklenburgh shortly after they got engaged – created an Instagram account for Joey in February. She wanted to help raise his profile and it was inundated with girls fawning over his pictures.
A girl following his account then accused Lauren of spying on her and accidentally “liking” one of her photos at 4.40am – a claim the reality star strongly denies.
CHEATING FEARS
A source says: “Lauren feels like there are a lot of people who are jealous of her relationship with Joey and are out to destroy it. She thinks there’s going to be girls throwing themselves at him when he’s out of prison, so she wants them to be as strong a couple as possible.
“She already has deep-rooted trust issues which go back years from her relationship with Mark, so it’s something that is always at the forefront of her mind. But Joey has reassured Lauren that she’s the only girl for him and she knows that he would never cheat on her.”
Last week, Lauren celebrated her first anniversary with Joey by posting a meme on Instagram, saying: “Couples that make it through an incarceration are not your average couple.
“Only those with the strongest love, commitment, and loyalty make it to that homecoming. This is not an ordinary love. It’s exceptional.”
FUTURE DREAMS
She then deleted the post and added instead: “Happy First year anniversary to us #sunday #beautiful #oneyear #friends #strong #love #always.”
A source says: “Lauren trusts Joey 100 per cent and knows how strong their love is. She just wants everything to be absolutely perfect so she can settle down and start her life with him as soon as he gets out of prison. She desperately wants the happy ending she’s been dreaming of for so long.”
