real Housewives of Cheshire: “We’re finally feeling body confident”

WAG reality stars Tanya Bardsley, Leanne Brown and Ampika Pickston show off their amazing physiques and reveal their secrets to looking fabulous

It’s hard to believe that Tanya Bardsley only gave birth to her fourth child Ralphi seven months ago as she confidently poses for our bikini photo shoot. Yet despite looking amazing, the Real Housewives Of Cheshire star is refreshingly honest about her post-baby body.

Tanya, 35, tells Closer: “My body isn’t the same as before, after four kids the elastic’s well and truly gone!” she laughs. “With each pregnancy, my skin’s become looser around my belly, the weight falls on my hips and it’s harder to tone up.”

GAINING 3ST

Tanya – also mum to Gabriella, 15, from a previous relationship, as well as Rocco, seven, and Renz, two, with Stoke City footballer husband Phil – admits her self-esteem plummeted after giving birth. She reveals: “I gained 3st with Ralphi and looking in the mirror afterwards just wasn’t an option, nor was wearing lingerie.

“Phil does like me a bit curvier, but I put a lot of pressure on myself to lose weight. It slowly came off just from running around after the kids, but I took up Pilates and lived in waist trainers and now I’m a size 8.”

HELPING HAND

The bubbly WAG isn’t afraid to admit she’s had a little bit of help. Tanya confesses: “I’ve had liposuction on my back to get rid of my love handles and a boob uplift as my breasts were out of proportion. The surgeon said my implants were flat as pancakes, but now they’re nearer my chin rather than my toes!”

And while the star admits she still has a few wobbles about her shape, she’s become more accepting of herself with age. She says: “If I was in my 20s and saw my saggy skin and stretch marks I would’ve been distraught, but you hit your 30s and think, ‘I don’t care any more.’ I’m more body confident now. Plus I’ve got three kids and a healthy baby – that’s all that matters!”
