WHAT YOU CAN DO

l Don’t buy dogs from pet shops, garden centres, websites or third-party sellers – they are often supplied by puppy farms. l Consider adopting from a rescue home. l Preferably see litter mates and always ask to see the mother to check that the puppy is interacting normally with its mum. l Get advice from your vet and check the paperwork – all ethical breeders should be able to provide medical records. l Go to Puppycontract.org.uk to download an RSPCA booklet. l Sign the petition to ban puppy farms at Petition.parliament.uk/petitions/175150 l Visit Pupaid.org and cariadcampaign.co.uk for more info. l If you think dogs are being mistreated, contact the RSPCA.
