Jen: ‘It’s over for good with Ben’

Despite announcing their split almost two years ago, last week the on-going on/off drama between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner appeared to be over for good when they finally filed for divorce.

Jen, 45, and Ben, 44 – who are parents to Violet, 11, Seraphina, eight, and Samuel, five – have played happy families since ending their marriage of almost 10 years, but pals say it’s finally over – with rumours that Ben has been dating someone he met in rehab.

Insiders say it was Jen who pulled the plug when she began planning their vow renewal and realised the romance between them had gone.

A source says: “Jen and Ben wanted to make a go of things, but as Jen began planning their vow renewal, they started rowing and Jen quickly realised that, despite trying everything to make it work, they were better off as friends. It was heartbreaking, but she knew it was right, not only for them but for the children.”

A source adds: “Jen and Ben want to keep things amicable for the sake of the kids.”
