‘Caben is such a happy child!’

a church with a lovely dress. I love Liverpool Cathedral, that would be amazing.”

But Steph acknowledges it may be a long road to recovery for the pair. “Of course I know that there will be hard times to come, but nobody can blame me for wanting to keep my family together,” she explains. “All Jez has ever wanted is a loving stable family and now he’s got somewhere he belongs.”

But in order to get back on track, Steph admits she’s keen to go to family counselling so the couple can start afresh. “I’m 100 per cent up for going to counselling together,” she says. “I want to be able to understand Jez as much as I can, and for him to learn about me too. Hopefully he will understand what I’ve been through. I’ve been doing a lot of research on addiction and it’s important for people to know it’s OK to get help when you need it.”

And although Steph is already back into her size 8-10 clothes just three months after having Caben, she insists she’s not been dieting or going to the gym to shape up.

“You just don’t have time when it comes to it,” she laughs. “Though when you’re a new mum, you just forget to eat. Once he’s had his bottle, he needs changing and winding, then he goes down to a nap and before you know it half the day has gone. I don’t even get time to make a cup of tea!”

BODY CHANGES

However, Steph also credits having 3D Lipo, a non-invasive procedure designed to tone and tighten the skin, for her post-baby figure. She says: “It’s like a mini-massage, it’s helped tighten everything. But I was never too worried about shaping up anyway – my tummy is still a bit jiggly but it doesn’t bother me. My boobs are completely different now – they used to be a D-cup and they went to an F when I was pregnant. Now they’ve deflated and I always have to lift them up!” But Steph is keen to stress that any changes to her body have been more than worth it to become a mum – and her face lights up every time she talks about Caben.

“He’s changing every day,” she gushes. “Yesterday, he discovered his tongue and now he’s always sticking it out. It’s wonderful to watch. Of course it’s been challenging, especially being on my own at the moment, but he’s such a happy baby. I just love being a mum – it came quite naturally to me and I was broody for so long before having him too.”

Now Jeremy is fighting his demons, Steph is hoping the future for their family is bright.

“I always wanted that fairy-tale,” she reveals. “When I was in the [CBB] house with Jez he said he’d treat me like a princess and I’ve never had that from him. But now I can’t wait to get everything I wanted. I feel like this will finally be our fairy-tale ending.”
