Kim’s fury over body backlash
Despite breaking down after being trolled, Kim Kardashian has stuck by her vow to pursue a more natural look for Kanye
Flaunting her F famous hourglass figure on the beach in Mexico last week, Kim Kardashian gave fans a rare glimpse of her un-airbrushed behind. But pals tell Closer the snaps left the star devastated as her dimply bum became the target of an online backlash.
Referring to the stark difference from Kim’s usually flawless selfies of her bottom, one body-shamer cruelly commented: “She looks unnatural and deformed,” while another said: “Makes me sick in my mouth.”
Despite looking incredible as she showed off her size 10 curves in a range of skimpy bikinis while celebrating her sister Kourtney’s 38th birthday with pals, Kim, 36 – who reportedly has a personal assistant to touch-up her selfies in Photoshop before posting them to her social media accounts – was apparently left in tears.
BUM INJECTIONS
Breaking her silence two days after the photos went public, she launched into a Twitter rant, writing: “Yup, I’ve recently seen perspective is a b***h. I’ll work on taking good videos with better lighting and angles. F**k you would think I learned.” She deleted the post shortly afterwards.
And the trolling continued when she was pictured the next day in a blue Dior bikini with noticeably less dimpling. One user sarcastically wrote: “So these new pictures aren’t Photoshopped?”
The mum of two – who has North, three, and Saint, one, with rapper husband Kanye West, 39 – has long denied having bum implants, even volunteering for a medical scan in an episode of her reality show,
Keeping Up With The Kardshians.
However, the star has reportedly undergone years of secret bum injections to plump her derrière and last year admitted to having regular jabs in her behind – but insisted it was to help ease the symptoms of her psoriasis, the skin condition she’s suffered with since childhood. At the time she said: “I went to get a cortisone shot in my butt.
“He’s (the doctor) like: ‘There’s a one in a billion chance that you will get a huge indent on your butt.’ Of course I get a huge indent on my butt.”
Now pals reveal that, after years of fat transfer injections, she’s sworn off any more treatments in a bid to save her marriage to Kanye, whose mother Donda died in 2007 following complications after she underwent more than five hours of plastic surgery procedures, including a breast reduction, tummy tuck and liposuction.
An insider says: “This year is the 10th anniversary of Donda’s death and Kanye is still very much grieving. Cosmetic work has always been a contentious issue between Kim and Kanye and has caused huge rows. Kanye worries that having the work done sets a bad example to North and, as she grows older, she may see stories out there about Kim’s multiple procedures.
“Kim knew it upset Kanye and after his breakdown in November, she vowed to stop having procedures. She wanted to do all she could to improve her marriage, and getting her more natural body back was a big part of that.
“But she’s been wincing when she sees the loose skin on her tummy that she wishes was tighter and the dimples on her bum. She can’t help feeling that stopping the bum injections is partly responsible for this.
“When she saw the backlash
over the recent snaps, she was upset. Kourtney begged her not to take notice of the haters, insisting she still looked incredible and should be proud of her flaws and embrace them. Now Kim’s trying to turn this around and use it as an opportunity to claw back the fans she’s lost over the years for having an unattainable figure.”
LOOKING PERFECT
Before the controversial pictures were released, Kim had sparked fury after attributing her tiny waist and 6lb weight loss to the “flu diet” in a Tweet which was later deleted. And despite her younger sister Khloe hailing Kim’s figure as “hands down the best body ever” last week, pals say Kim is struggling with the changes in her figure. A source says: “Kim’s always prided herself on being the envy of women worldwide and she works hard to ensure she always looks perfect, so the backlash that came from her exposing her flaws has hit her hard. It’s knocked her confidence.”
But Kim, who’s admitted to working out every day for an hour to stay in shape as well as following the Atkins diet, hit back at body shamers on Twitter, saying, “Oh and as for me you ask?... I’m just sitting here on the beach with my flawless body.”
A source adds: “She’s being urged to use this to set an example for real women to embrace their bodies – flaws and all – something Kim could really gain popularity from and use to enhance her career.”
