‘I won’t let Sam humiliate me again’
As her boyfriend is accused of cheating, pals reveal Josie Gibson has vowed to ditch him for good
It was only last month that she gushed to Closer she’d finally found the “perfect partner” in Sam Player and was ready to settle down. But last week, Josie Gibson was dealt a devastating blow following claims her partner of just six weeks had been cheating on her.
Josie, 32, claimed on Twitter that Sam had allegedly seen several women behind her back, and publicly called him out for being a love rat, writing: “When you find out you’ve been going out with a complete narcissist and womanising weirdo for 6 weeks. Sam Player you are vile.”

She also shared a message from one of the women he’d allegedly been sleeping with, which included claims that Sam had dubbed Josie “a weirdo” and was “old, tired and ugly in real life.”
The furious star then posted another Tweet with a picture of Sam holding roses with the warning message: “If you see this man in Bristol girls run a mile.” She later deleted all of the posts.
Pals say the reality starturned-fitness guru is heartbroken and has vowed not to let him back in her life.
A source says: “Josie is devastated – she’d really hoped Sam was The One. She was planning their future together and now she’s heartbroken. The comments he’s made to other people about her have cut deeply and her selfesteem has taken a huge hit.”
It’s not the first time Sam’s been accused of cheating. Just weeks into his romance with Josie, a woman came forward claiming to be in a relationship with him – but Josie quickly shot the suggestion down, telling Closer at the time: “It seems like she’s a girl very much in love and trying to ruin what we have.” But she admitted she was growing suspicious, adding: “I’m still with Sam but I don’t trust him.”
Now pals say she’s feeling betrayed. A source says: “Josie is so angry with Sam, and with herself for taking him back. She is determined never to let him humiliate her again.
The star, who is 5ft 9, has previously spoken about her body issues. She lost 6st in 2012 – dropping from a size 20 to a size 8 – before going on to have a boob job in 2013, boosting her to a 34Dcup. And last year, she had a tummy tuck.
DOUBLE BLOW
In Josie’s now-deleted posts, the mystery woman claimed Sam had slated Josie’s looks, writing: “He said you weren’t even all that… all your photos are just airbrushed.”
And pals say the slamming of her appearance has been a double blow for Josie – who split from her on/ off fiancé Luke Sanwo last year.
A source says: “Josie is still reeling from what has happened, but is determined to move on with her life.”
