‘Walking and healthy meals have blitzed my baby body’ Billie while pregnant with Arthur

Just eight weeks after giving birth to son Arthur, former TOWIE star Billie Faiers reveals how she regained her fab figure

She only gave birth to son S Arthur in March, but Billie Faiers is already getting plenty of attention on Instagram over her amazing post-baby body. The former TOWIE star posted a snap of herself in a bikini on a recent holiday and fans were stunned by her post-pregnancy curves.

And when Closer catches up with Billie, she refreshingly reveals her slimmed-down figure isn’t down to gruelling workouts or surgery.

“I don’t have a big secret, I’m afraid” she laughs. “I think breastfeeding has helped and I eat quite healthily anyway. Plus I was lucky that I didn’t put on a lot of weight while I was pregnant, so I slimmed down quite quickly afterwards. But my stomach isn’t as flat as it was and I haven’t done any exercise since Arthur was born so I do need to tone up a bit.”

Billie, 27 – who’s also a mum to two-yearold Nelly with fiancé Greg Shepherd – is now back to her pre-pregnancy size 8-10 figure, but it’s not all down to luck as it’s clear that a typical day in her kitchen is pretty healthy. Breakfast is either avocado and eggs on toast, or cereal, while lunch is typically a ham, lettuce and tomato pitta, and dinner is often chicken Milanese with salad or a Shepherd’s Pie.

“I’ve been eating healthily, but I still need my carbs!” says Billie. “I’ve been so hungry with the breastfeeding – you definitely feel like you want more. I feel like I’ve not stopped eating, but it’s mostly been healthy stuff. Of course, I still love having my tea and biscuits every day and we’ll order the odd takeaway – but in general I always make home-cooked dinners in the evenings.”

WALKING WORKOUT S

And the mum-of-two says that the secret to staying slim isn’t rocket science. She reveals: “I’m really all about a healthy balance and everything in moderation; it’s good to treat yourself, but also to eat plenty of fruit and veg and drink as much water as you can. There isn’t really one big secret to share.”

While Billie didn’t breastfeed Nelly as she previously said it was something she struggled with, she is breastfeeding Arthur – with the support of her sister Sam, 26 – and says it has really helped to tighten her stomach.

She says: “You can feel your tummy almost contracting while you breastfeed. It’s funny, but I think it’s definitely helped me slim down. I’ve really enjoyed doing it too and I’m so glad I gave it a go this time.”

Billie has also found that being physically active has helped, too.

“I’ve never been a gym person,” she laughs. “I’ll probably get a personal trainer at some point to help motivate me, but for now I’ve just been getting out and about with the pram. This morning, I walked over to a huge farm near my house and I said to Sam: ‘It feels like this is a really hard workout!’ Doing lots of walking and getting out of the house has been great for me.”

GOOD GENES

A big factor behind the Faiers sisters’ amazing figures could be down to the good genes they get from their mum Suzanne Wells, 48, who appeared in Billie’s holiday snaps, showing off her incredible size 8-10 figure in a bikini.

“My mum looks amazing,” admits Billie. “But she’s a very different shape to me. She’s tall and slim, whereas I’m curvy and small.

But I do think part of it is down to good genes, which is lucky!”

juggling a Busy life

The reality star – who is engaged to businessman Greg – admits that life as a mum-of-two is hectic and looking after Arthur and Nelly means she doesn’t get much time for herself.

“It’s definitely more challenging having two children now,” she laughs. “But Arthur is lovely and we’re getting on really well. Nelly loves him too; I think she thinks he’s her little doll. She’s such a good big sister.”

As well as juggling two kids, Billie has also been busy designing a new swimwear range for online retailer In The Style. She explains: “I wanted to make sure there was something for everyone in the range. I’ve thought about mums and people who might feel self-conscious of their tummy, so there are one-pieces and high-waisted briefs as well. Of course, for me, my body is different to how it used to be but I don’t worry about it, I just go with the flow.”
