‘I finally feel amazing – now I want my Prince Charming’
Former TOWIE star Jess Wright has the last laugh over trolls as she shows off her new size 8 figure
She was cruelly S body-shamed last summer when an unflattering picture of her sitting down in a bikini was published, with fans branding her “fat” and “an absolute state” on social media.
But nine months on, Jess Wright, 31, has had the last laugh, and last week she admitted to Closer that the trolls motivated her to get body confident again. In seven weeks she toned up and went from a size 10 to an 8.
The EX-TOWIE star has lost over half a stone on Fi7ness – a seven-week home-workout programme devised by Jess which includes exercising for 30 minutes five times a week – and by cutting down on sugar and alcohol.
Jess, who counts TOWIE star Ricky Rayment and Corrie’s Bruno Langley among her exes, says: “After those photos came out, I had a really hard time. It was traumatic – but it made me stronger in the end. I’ve completely toned up my body and it’s kind of amazing that I have abs and biceps! I feel so much better because now when I get papped on the beach I’ll be happy and it won’t be the end of the world – which is what it felt like before. I’ve never felt more body confident – now I want my Prince Charming.”
Jess – who shot to fame as one of the TOWIE originals in 2010 alongside her brother Mark, 30 – is adamant that Mark has completely changed since he married Michelle Keegan and he’s worlds away from his old self.
She says: “Mark was a young lad playing the field when TOWIE started – that’s what men do when they’re young, isn’t it? But now he’s grown up and I’m proud of him. Meeting Michelle and getting married definitely had a part in that. We’ve all grown up.”
