Are Steph and Jeremy ‘addicted’ to their toxic romance?

Despite rows and broken promises, Steph Davis and Jeremy Mcconnell can’t seem to stay away from each other – as worried pals are urging them to seek help

Their turbulent T love story has been rocked by assault claims and her hospitalisation from stress since they reunited this year – but Stephanie Davis took to social media last week to gush about Jeremy Mcconnell.

Praising him for taking care of her while she was ill, she posted a picture on Snapchat of Jeremy holding her hand, writing: “My one.” Jeremy also shared a video of Steph sleeping beside him while he cradled their four-month-old son Caben-albi in his arms.

However, insiders say that Jeremy – who finished rehab for alcohol and drug addiction five weeks ago – and Steph, who has had her own issues with booze in the past, saying she “used alcohol as my escape,” are addicted to the drama of their toxic relationship.

A source says: “They still have blazing rows, during which Jeremy will storm out, but it always ends with them crawling back to each other and promising it won’t happen again. Every time they swear it will be different but it’s not long until they’re arguing again. It’s like they’re addicted to the drama. They’re completely obsessed with each other, so no matter how bad things get they can’t stop going back for more.

“They have their hearts set on living a healthier life for the sake of Caben and Steph has told friends that there’s no way she’ll give up on Jeremy. But pals worry that part of her thrives on all the chaos.”

Steph, 24, and Jeremy, 27, called time on their fourmonth relationship last April following allegations that Jeremy had cheated on Steph with several other women. However, the pair were reunited in February weeks after Jeremy appeared on This Morning to beg for a paternity test, despite originally denying he was the father of her baby. Then in March, Jeremy was arrested after allegedly assaulting Steph in her Liverpool home.

A source adds: “Friends and family think the only way they’ll work out their problems is if they seek professional help. They’ve spoken about couples’ therapy in the past, but it doesn’t seem like they have any intention of doing it.”
