‘I survive on five hours’ sleep’
i’ll get up at around 5:30am because I’ve got to get the 6:30am train from my home in Manchester to the Loose Women studio in london. I’ll usually grab a slice of toast and have a cup of tea when I get up. i head to my first work meeting around 8:45am where all us Loose
Women will have breakfastand a gossip – the first 20 minutes is just us gassing. I’ll have porridge because it fills me up. after that, we’ll glam up with hair and make-up. We’ll have yet another meeting and then we’re on live! I love it. It’s like being with your friends in a coffee shop. afterwards, we always have a debrief to discuss what went well and what didn’t work. Then we’ll have another gossip and go our separate ways. I’ll usually grab lunch with a friend and I’ll always have soup of the day. I get the train back to Manchester for around 4:30pm and pick my daughter ciara, 15, up from school if I make it in time. then i’ll run some errands and work out what we’ll be doing for supper. Sometimes I’ll cook, but other times we’ll just grab a takeaway. Whatever we have, though, we’ll all sit together at the table. even if we have Mcdonald’s! we’ll then watch tv. I’m addicted to hospital programmes – reality show like One Born Every Minute or the soaps. I have a showbiz brain so I never go to sleep until around midnight. all those nights in a band when I was younger have made me able to survive on around five hours’ sleep.
