If i had to describe my style, i’d say it’s fairly safe and polished. I’m a dancer, which means I spend a lot of time in sequins and sparkle, so when it comes to my everyday style I like to wear more simple, classic pieces. i love the high street – loads of my clothes are from river island and Topshop. Trends and styles change so quickly that I don’t think it’s worth spending loads of money on clothes. I’d rather hit the high street regularly and then treat myself to a classic designer handbag or a pair of shoes, which I know I’ll still be using in years to come. My favourite items are my Chanel bags, which my husband James bought me. I’d been dropping hints for ages and he decided to treat me for our 10-year anniversary in 2013. He nearly had a heart attack when he realised how much they cost, but I love them – and it was so sweet of him to treat me. i’m a naturally curvy girl, so i don’t look good in everything. I’ve got boobs and a bum, so I tend to wear fitted stuff as slouchy jeans and a loose-fit tee will make me look 10 times bigger than I actually am. Plus I’m only 5ft 3, so I have to be careful with the lengths of hems as well. There’s quite a lot of pressure to get it right, especially for red-carpet events when I know I’ll be photographed. I wore an Armani Exchange dress to the ITV Lorraine Fashion awards back in 2010 and had to pair it with flat shoes as I’d only just come off crutches. I thought it looked OK at home but everyone thought I was pregnant on the night – I had to Tweet to let everyone know I wasn’t expecting!” l Strictly Ola – My Story is available now (SJH Publishing, £14.99)
