Marnie: “I’ll never be happy with how I look”
Showing off a plumped up pout last week, Marnie Simpson sparked speculation she’s had more work done nip/tucks
She’s made no secret S of the fact that she struggles with body dysmorphia, and has had several surgical and cosmetic procedures including lip fillers, Botox, a nose job, a boob lift and liposuction
And last week, Marnie Simpson sparked speculation she’d altered her looks yet again when she was photographed in London looking dramatically different.
Marnie, 25, has been worried about her looks ever since she first appeared on Geordie Shore in 2013 and confessed in February: “I don’t think I’ll ever be happy with how I look. I’ve got body dysmorphia. I don’t know what’s triggered it but I think it must be surgery. After changing one thing about myself I’ll look in the mirror and see a fault I’d never noticed before.”
Top surgeon Mark Ho-asjoe tells Closer he believes Marnie has had work done within the past two weeks. He says: “Marnie’s cheeks have more definition, so I think she’s had fillers in there as well as her chin because it looks more projected. Her eyebrows look different, too, which is probably down to Botox.”
Marnie has previously said she wished she had the “willpower” to stop having surgery, and last week spoke about her body anxieties, Tweeting: “How did I get this fat? I honestly think it’s the fattest I’ve felt in a long time. I blame @mtvgeordieshore feeding us kebabs all the time.”
Mark worries Marnie may have an addiction. He adds: “People compare their faces to the last time they had work done – so they keep thinking they need more. For Marnie, I think the issue may be psychological. Some women struggle to maintain perspective on how they look and become addicted.”
