‘We’re renewing our vows for the twins’

-

They welcomed twins Ella and Alexander just three weeks ago, and now pals say Amal and George Clooney are planning to renew their vows this September, on their third wedding anniversary.

The couple tied the knot in an £8m ceremony in Venice in 2014 in front of a host of celebrity guests including Matt Damon, Cindy Crawford and Emily Blunt.

Now friends say Amal, 39, and George, 56, are over the moon with the new twins and want to reaffirm their commitment to one another.

A source says: “Amal and George are loving being parents – Amal can’t believe how naturally everything has come to her, especially as she never saw herself as maternal. She’s embracing every part of motherhood and just wants to be with Ella and Alexander all the time.

“She and George are even planning a welcome party for the twins on their third wedding anniversary, when they will also be renewing their vows in front of close family and friends.”

And friends say that since becoming a mother, human rights lawyer Amal has been reconsidering her plan to continue working full-time, and is contemplating scaling back her work schedule for the sake of the twins.

The insider says: “Amal’s had a change of heart about being a working mum.

“She’s made a vow to George that she’ll take an extended leave of maternity, plus pull out of dangerous cases and take on lowerprofile work for a while.

“She wants to be home as much as possible for the babies.”
