MY TYPICAL DAY:
‘Performing is the perfect escapism’
At the moment I’m waking up At 9Am In my flat In london. i usually live in cheshire [with husband lincoln, 44, and youngest son louis, 16] but i’m currently performing on the west end in The Wind In The Willows so i’m spending all my time in the city. i’ll have a bowl of weetabix Minis with raisins to fuel me up for the day, and then spend the morning doing admin jobs and shopping before heading to the london Palladium around midday. I then have An Afternoon of rehearsing. we’ll run through all the musical numbers – i’m playing Mrs Otter! i’ll have some fruit or a low-calorie chocolate bar to keep me going. I’ll head out for dinner on carnaby street with the cast At 5pm And have A big meal In preparation for the show. we’ll then return to the theatre and get our hair and make-up done and costumes on before it begins at 7:30pm. i’m so honoured to be taking part in the musical, it’s wonderful to be in such a magical show and it’s the perfect escapism. i’m missing my husband lincoln, of course – but he visits me in london a few times a week. we’ll finish up At 10pm And once I’m out of my costume, make-up And back In my flat, It’ll be Around midnight. i’ll fall asleep watching a crime documentary and be asleep by 12.30am.
