‘It was hard watching her cry over Kem!’ AMBER’S MUM:

It’s the TV smash hit of the summer, but Love Island has also shocked viewers with its late-night antics as this year’s stars get hot and heavy on camera.

Last week saw Amber Davies, 20, and her on-off flame Kem Cetinay, 21, enjoy a night of passion on the sofas and an afternoon “quickie” in the bedroom.

But Amber’s mum Sue tells Closer that she’s not fazed by her daughter having sex on national television.

Sue says: “Amber and I spoke about sex before she went on the show. I told her to be sensible and really think about it. But it only took her eight days! I think we knew it was going to happen, but we don’t want to see anything too full on!”

Sue admits she does have reservations about Kem after the hairdresser told other islanders that Amber wasn’t a girl he could “take home to his mother.” And when he and the boys were placed in a separate villa with new girls, Kem kissed and quickly coupled up with Chyna Ellis – leaving Amber heartbroken.

Sue says: “I was upset by a few things Kem said about Amber. When he told the boys she wasn’t a girl he could take home, I thought ‘Why?’ She’s beautiful, funny, kind and caring. I think Kem is influenced by the other boys. It was hard watching Amber cry over him.”

But with Kem and Amber seemingly back together, Sue’s supportive of the romance. She says: “I do like Kem. You can she likes him by the way she looks at him.”

Amber has faced criticism in the villa due to her flirtations with Mike Thalassitis and Simon Searles. Fans branded her a snake and were doubtful of her feelings for Kem. But Sue is quick to defend her daughter.

She says: “Amber is only young and when they were bringing these new guys in, I think she got a bit excited. I think she’s in it with Kem for the long haul now.”
