Charlotte:
“Stephen’s perfect – he does nothing wrong”
he’s been a devoted advocate S for a healthy lifestyle and diet after transforming herself three years ago from party girl to fitness inspiration. But Charlotte Crosby – who slimmed from a size 16 to a slender size 8 – has been open about her battle with body dysmorphia, admitting in her new autobiography, Brand New Me, that at her lowest point, she sought help from a counsellor for anxiety and was crying over her body daily.
And speaking to Closer, the 27-yearold admits online abuse from trolls still affects her confidence. “I get comments on everything about me – every day,” she says. “They say ‘you’re looking a bit fatter,’ or ‘you’re looking too skinny’ or ‘you look pregnant.’”
She adds: “It’s never going to end. I try not to let it bother me. I don’t look in the mirror any more. I just walk away and do something else instead.”
MOVING IN
One big boost to her confidence has been her six-month romance with fellow reality star Stephen Bear, also 27. Last month, the pair announced a big step in their relationship when Charlotte Tweeted: “Steve has his 1st home soooo proud! And he’s only asked me to MOVE IN! #Charlotte&bears. I can’t believe I’m gunna live with a BOY!”
Some fans may have questioned the lightning speed move, particularly as Charlotte had recently bought and renovated her “dream home” in Sunderland in November, but she tells Closer she’s excited for a new chapter.
She says: “Stephen and I are moving in together in September. He’s the perfect boy and he doesn’t do anything wrong. We’ve just bought a house in Chigwell. I’m really excited. I’ve never lived with a boy before. He’s very clean though. I won’t be picking up his pants off the floor. He’ll probably end up doing that with mine!”
And Charlotte – who has released two hugely successful fitness DVDS – admits that with her work and love life moving at such a fast pace, she hasn’t even had much time to exercise.
She adds: “I haven’t been working out at the moment. When I do work out I’ll do my fitness DVDS, but I’m not exercising regularly right now.”
TOUGH TIMES
Her happiness with Stephen comes after a tough year for Charlotte. Following her split from on-off Geordie Shore flame Gary Beadle, Charlotte was rushed to hospital for surgery in April 2016 after suffering an ectopic pregnancy (where the foetus grows outside the womb).
Last week she revealed how she hoped that speaking out would raise awareness about the signs and symptoms of the condition. The star explained: “A lot of young girls have died because they have waited too long [to get help]. It’s such an awful thing to have to go through and I don’t think that many people are educated on it.”
Charlotte also opened up about the depression she suffered in the aftermath of losing her baby, describing it as “mental torture,” but says she’s learned from the

experience, revealing: “It made me know my own worth.”
And now happy and loved-up with Stephen, Charlotte admits she can see the pair starting a family together.
She says: “Stephen will be the best dad. He’s got lots of nieces and nephews, who he is fantastic with. We’ve only been together for six months so I think we’ll wait a few years before kids. But, yes,
we have discussed baby names.”
SURGERY FAN
As well as her body, Charlotte has also attracted attention for her changing face after having a nose job and regular lip filler injections. But the star insists surgery wasn’t a decision she took lightly and says she wouldn’t have a problem with any future child of hers following suit. She adds: “If my kids wanted lip fillers, I wouldn’t have a problem. I got lip fillers at 23 so I was a young woman and decided on my own, but I wasn’t immature and just following a trend. I get a lot of flack over it, but I don’t regret anything I’ve had done.”
