Nicole tells Grigor: ‘I’m ready for babies’
They looked every inch the picture-perfect couple while on holiday in Italy last month, and now sources tell Closer that Nicole Scherzinger is ready to take things to the next level with boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov.
A source says: “Nicole is totally smitten with Grigor right now. She’s been telling pals how happy she is and wants to have marriage and babies as soon as possible with him. Everything between them is great again and Nicole feels as though it’s time to get serious and finally settle down.”
In May this year, Nicole, 39, and professional tennis player Grigor, 26, were hit with split rumours after two years of dating, when it was reported that they were on a break – but our source explains how the couple have come back stronger than ever.
A source says: “Nicole felt as though Grigor couldn’t prioritise their relationship because of his commitment to tennis, but this summer he’s really come through for her and shown that what they have isn’t just a casual fling. She’s been hinting to pals that a proposal could be around the corner.”
The former Pussycat Doll split from her previous boyfriend, F1 driver Lewis Hamilton, 32, in 2015 after seven years amid rumours he wasn’t ready to start a family.
In an interview with Top Gear, shortly after they separated, Lewis revealed that he considered his cars to be his “babies” and that girlfriends “come second when it comes to the cars.”
Now Nicole is hoping that she’s finally going to realise her dream to be a mum with Grigor.
“She’s ready to have a baby and she thinks Grigor would be a great father,” adds the source. “He’s in love with Nicole and isn’t scared by the prospect. She’s been keeping herself in tip-top shape and doesn’t want to waste any more time. She’s never felt fitter or healthier and is excited for the future.”
