PETE BEGS JORDAN TO KEEP HER SEX SCANDAL PRIVATE
As she continues to air her dirty laundry in public, Jordan’s ex-husband Peter Andre steps in to protect his children
Her ex Peter Andre H has blasted her in the past over her parenting of their two children, Junior, 12, and Princess, 10 – publicly hitting out after she straightened their daughter’s hair as a toddler and allowed her to wear make-up.
And last week, after Jordan, 39, spoke openly about her messy marriage crisis with cheating husband Kieran Hayler, 30, and jokingly said Princess was “ugly” when she was little during an appearance on Loose Women, Peter, 44, was forced to step in once again.
SOAP-OPERA LIFE
A source reveals: “Pete’s begged Katie to stop with the public slanging matches. He wants her to sort this mess out with Kieran behind closed doors. However, she insists she wouldn’t have a career if it wasn’t for her soap-opera life. She fears if she stops washing her dirty laundry in public, her career will be dead and buried.
“Pete is trying to be understanding, but he’s asked her to stop talking publicly about every detail and treating it like it’s an episode of EastEnders. He believes it’s extremely distressing for the children – especially Junior and Princess – who are old enough to understand everything and are asking a lot of questions.”
Kieran is thought to have been instrumental in getting Jordan and Peter – who has three-year-old daughter Amelia and nine-month-old son Theo with wife Emily Macdonagh, 28 – back on amicable terms following their 2009 split.
Speaking in 2014, Katie said: “I talk to Emily and Kieran speaks to Pete. I like Emily and Kieran gets on with Pete. We make it work.”
In June this year, Peter praised Kieran for his treatment of Katie’s disabled 15-year-old son Harvey, from her relationship with ex Dwight Yorke, admitting: “I’m so happy he has Kieran. My whole objective for Harvey is for him to be happy and if he’s happy because Kieran treats him good, that’s all I can ask for.”
Now sources say in the wake of Kieran’s latest cheating scandal, Peter’s main concern is the children and how they’ll be affected. A friend reveals: “With Kieran being a house husband for so long, the kids are used to having him around all the time. Pete worries about how Harvey would feel if Kieran wasn’t around, and fears how Princess and Junior would cope with the upheaval. He knows how close they are to Kieran.”
CALLS TO PETE
Jordan has spoken openly about her four-year marriage to Peter, revealing on Loose Women last year: “I didn’t want to divorce him. I wanted to be with him. We would be together now. But it doesn’t matter now. The kids love Kieran and Emily and they get love from both of us.”
Now sources say pals fear Jordan’s using the marriage crisis as an excuse to speak to Peter.
A source says: “Katie’s been speaking to Peter more than usual about how things could work in the future. It’s incredibly grating for him and Emily as they want to focus on their own lives. Pete wants to have the kids more and has asked Katie to keep things as normal as possible at home. He also wants Katie to let the kids spend as much time as they want with Kieran and not use them to punish him. She’s promised Pete she won’t be that petty.”
