Kerry: “I’m scared of losing Lilly-sue too”
After daughter Molly leaves home, pals say Kerry Katona is terrified Lilly-sue will follow
She’s always had a close bond with her eldest daughters Molly, 16, and Lilly-sue, 14 – who she shares with her ex, Brian Mcfadden. But last month, Kerry opened up about her guilt over putting them through her turbulent third marriage to George Kay – admitting her daughters had begged her to leave him.
Two weeks ago, emotions ran high again for Kerry – who turns 37 this week – when she broke down in an Instagram video, pleading: “Don’t leave me!” ahead of Molly’s move to Ireland to live with her grandparents so she can focus on her studies.
STRUGGLING TO COPE
The mum-of-five – who also has Heidi, 10, Max, nine, and Dylan Jorge, three – shared a text she received from Molly on her birthday last week, praising her for being the “best mother I could have asked for.”
Sources say she’s struggling to cope with her eldest being so far away, and the star – who suffers from bipolar disorder – is worried daughter Lilly-sue will also fly the nest.
CLOSE PAL JORDAN
A source reveals: “Kerry is scared that with Molly in Ireland, Lilly-sue will also want to move. She’s suggested they go and visit Molly together so they can spend time as a threesome. Molly’s move has hit her hard and she couldn’t take Lilly leaving her too.”
Molly and Lilly revealed last year how they help around the house when Kerry is struggling with her bipolar. Molly admitted: “I’ll get up and make Max and Heidi’s breakfast and I’ll make DJ some toast because either Mum’s doing the laundry or she’s having a good day or a bad day.”
Kerry has been leaning on close pal Jordan – whose marriage crisis hit the headlines last week – for support. Last week, Kerry shared a photo of her and Jordan’s children eating Mcdonald’s.
A source reveals: “Kerry and Jordan arranged a get-together so their kids could see each other and they could have a good moan about their exes.”
Last week, Closer exclusively revealed how Kerry – who split from George in June – is dating a mystery man. And while she’s keeping her cards close to her chest, pals say Kerry’s new man has been a big source of comfort.
A source says: “Kerry’s being secretive about him but she’s been spending more time with him and seems happy.”
