MEL B ‘TOOK DRUGS IN FRONT OF HER KIDS’
Her explosive divorce continues to dominate headlines and last week Mel B faced fresh allegations from her estranged husband Stephen Belafonte, 42, that she took cocaine and drank in front of her children – Phoenix, 18, Angel, 10, and Madison, six. The court documents claim Mel, 42, who ended her 10-year marriage in March, had therapy to help with her alleged “addiction” and that she had a “habitual and consistent” addiction to drugs, which left Stephen fearing for the “safety” of their family.
He claimed the former Spice Girl’s drinking and drug abuse had been a major issue throughout her marriage and was witnessed by their former nanny, Lorraine Gilles, 26 – who is suing Mel for £1.6m for defamation after the star claimed she had an affair with Stephen.
Last week it was reported her former band mates, including Victoria Beckham, could be character witnesses for Mel in the divorce case – which could reportedly bankrupt her.
To make matters worse, Mel – who is currently a judge on America’s Got Talent – was branded a home-wrecker last week after claims surfaced that her police officer boyfriend of just a few weeks is married.
