‘I feel sexier in my tracksuit bottoms!’

As a self-confessed gym addict who regularly shares workout snaps of her toned figure online, Gemma Atkinson is far from her comfort zone when it comes to slipping into skimpy Strictly outfits.

Key 103 radio host Gemma, 32, says: “It feels totally alien to me to be all dressed up, and I’m having nightmares about tripping over as I walk up the stairs on live TV. I feel sexier in my tracksuit bottoms and T-shirt than in a sequin dress as it’s so alien to me.

“On paper I’m very fit, but on that dance floor it all goes out the window. There have been a few wobbles on the Whatsapp group us contestants have, but we’re all really excited. I’m trying to eat very healthily at the moment so I have enough energy for all the rehearsals, which is hard because I’m hungry all the time since we started training.”

And the former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale actress admits it won’t take much to boost her non-existent dance knowledge, saying: “Before Strictly the only routine I knew was Gangnam Style!”
