he wowed the audience S once again on Strictly Come Dancing last week – but Mollie King tells Closer she still doesn’t feel prepared for the demands of the show. The 30-year-old singer reveals that despite her girl band background, she’s at no advantage and has limited dancing experience.

She says, “I’ve had no official training whatsoever, so I want to learn how to dance! In The Saturdays music videos, it was mostly striking a pose and ‘shaking what you’ve got’ rather than dancing. I don’t feel prepared at all – I need to learn these moves.

“My mum took me to a ballet class when I was three or four, but a teacher came up to her and said I danced like an elephant. So I went to play football instead!”

ROMANCE RUMOURS

But the star – who is partnered with AJ Pritchard, 22, and has already sparked romance rumours with their on-screen chemistry – says she couldn’t be happier to be a Strictly contestant.

“I am loving every minute of it,” she says. “The glamour, sparkle, tans and sequins! I am way

With her dance too excited – I should partner AJ have tried to act a bit cooler. I’ve always wanted to do Strictly so I’m going to give it everything I’ve got.”

REUNION HOPES

Before rising to fame, Mollie was an international skier for Great Britain, but she decided to pursue her love of singing and joined The Saturdays. After a successful six years, the band took a break in 2014 – but Mollie is still hopeful for a reunion.

“Being in The Saturdays was a dream come true and I’d love for there to be a reunion in the future,” she says. “When you’re in this industry, you’ve just got to trust yourself and go with your gut and that’s what we did. You have to try not to get wrapped up in anything.”
