Perez Hilton: “Kim hates that Kylie’s the star now”
Perez Hilton tells Closer’s Katie Banks about the latest Kardashian crisis, reaching out to Jordan, and why he wants his daughter to be the next Reese Witherspoon
With his catty comments and outrageous personality, he’s been rubbing up Hollywood’s elite the wrong way for a whopping 13 years since starting his infamous blog, where he dishes up the juiciest celebrity gossip on stars from Justin Bieber to Kim Kardashian.
Now, Perez Hilton tells Closer that after knowing America’s first family of reality TV for close to a decade, he’s having a giggle at the baby meltdowns secretly rocking the glamorous Kardashian family.
Just last month, Closer reported how Kim, 36, was feeling unsettled after it was revealed younger sisters Kylie, 20, and Khloe, 33, were both pregnant with their first children, while she was reportedly using a surrogate for her third baby.
Meeting feisty Perez, 39, at celeb haunt The Shangri-la hotel in Santa Monica, LA, he cackles, “I ran into Kim last month at a party and I think she’s finding it really hard that Kylie’s the bigger star now. It’s hilarious because Kylie has zero personality – people are just obsessed with her plastic surgery.

And at the mention of Kim – who’s been married to rapper Kanye West since 2014 – Perez adds with a mischievous grin that he didn’t dare bring up the baby subject when he bumped into her.
“I purposefully didn’t ask about all the babies and just spoke about myself!” he howls. “I was talking about being on a health kick and how I even bought my own food that I ate in the car park before the bash. She was saying that she was really happy at the moment and trying to be healthy too.
“I think it’s only back on with Kanye as they prepare for the third baby because she wants all the kids to come from one dad and then she’s done. Let’s see how long it lasts after that!”
ABORTION BACKLASH
Last month, Perez – whose children Mario, five, Mia, two, and new addition Mayte Amor, two weeks, were all born via surrogates – landed himself in hot water when he said the Kardashians’ momager, Kris Jenner, should tell Kylie, who fell pregnant just weeks into her romance with Travis Scott, to have an abortion.
Speaking about his controversial Youtube comments, he says, “I’ve apologised for what I said, but I have my opinion on what I would have told my own daughter. If she fell pregnant after dating someone for one month, and wasn’t ready, I’d want her to have all the options.”
Then he adds, giggling, “I won’t even allow Mia to wear a bikini while she lives in my house. She’ll be ladylike as well as a lady, someone like Reese Witherspoon – you know the type!”
And Perez admits that he recently reached out across the pond to British pal Jordan, real name Katie Price, who announced she was ditching her husband Kieran Hayler in August after claiming he’d had an affair with their nanny Nikki Brown – something Nikki denies – and later revealed her heartache over her mum Amy’s terminal lung condition.
Perez says of the former glamour model, whom he met in the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2015, “I sent Katie an email straight away when I heard the bad news as I’ve met her mum and brother. She’s going through a lot and I told her to do whatever makes her happy. I don’t judge her.”
OUTRAGEOUS ANTICS
And after some critics blasted the split as a publicity stunt to boost tour ticket sales, Perez admits he’s not sure it is all an act.
He tells us, “I think Katie’s split from Kieran is real, but she’ll be sure to work everything to her own advantage. If she gets paid to humiliate him and call him a douche bag, then fair play to her.”
The blogger made a name for himself in the UK when he appeared in the CBB house. He was seen stripping down to his underwear while dancing around the garden – and even told Katie Hopkins after a heated row, “If I was one of your children I’d kill myself!”
