Insiders say Victoria Beckham is disgusted after online haters body-shame her daughter Harper
Her husband H David was pictured enjoying a family day out in Malibu, California, with their four children last week, but insiders say Victoria Beckham was furious with cruel internet trolls, who seemed intent on body-shaming her six-year-old daughter, Harper.
After pictures emerged of the youngest Beckham in a swimsuit, one user shockingly commented: “She is massive, bigger than her mum! That child needs to lose weight!” Another viciously wrote, “The mother should be concerned.” Yet another vile troll added, “Harper is 6 which is long past time to have baby fat!”
A source reveals, “Victoria was shocked and disgusted by the comments over her little girl. It really upset her and she would hate for Harper to ever read comments like those and become obsessed about her body image.
DEVASTATED
“David was fuming and wanted to post something about it on social media, but was told not to as it may encourage the trolls. Their sons were also devastated as they’re very protective over their baby sister.”
Fashion designer Posh, 43, and former footballer David, 42, have made millions from Brand Beckham and their children have also carved out careers in the spotlight. Brooklyn, 18, and Romeo, 15, have both modelled, while 12-year-old Cruz released his debut single If Every Day Was Christmas last December. Meanwhile, Harper has featured heavily on both Posh and David’s social media feeds in a series of cute photos and videos.
VICIOUS COMMENTS
Closer previously reported how Posh was left devastated by negative reviews of Brooklyn’s photography book What I See. One art critic sarcastically Tweeted, “Huge fan of Brooklyn Beckham’s terrible photographs and even worse captions.” Last week, it was revealed only 3,890 copies of the book had been sold.
The source adds, “Victoria has a thick skin, but she can’t handle negative comments about her children. She wants to give them every opportunity possible and couldn’t be more proud. She’s over the moon that her kids have achieved success, but refuses to let anyone hurt them. She’s promised to do whatever it takes to protect her family.
“The recent comments over Harper just prove to her and David how vicious and vile people can be about their family. She wants to shield them from danger and criticism as much as she can.”
