Jacqueline: “I’m nervous for the future”
As she’s axed from Eastenders, Jacqueline Jossa is concerned about her next step
She was papped S looking stony-faced while picking up husband Dan Osborne from a night out with Stephen Bear last week – just weeks after news broke that she’s leaving Eastenders.
At the time, Dan, 26, Tweeted his support for wife Jacqueline Jossa – posting, “You are so talented babe and I’m proud of you. This is just the beginning of your career.” And, last week, he revealed in an interview she was keen to continue acting, saying, “Work is important to her, so she will soon have things lined up once she’s out of contract.”
But pals say the soap star, 25, is worried about her future and how it’ll affect her and Dan’s plans to add to their family.
A source says, “It came as a big shock to Jacqueline that she’d be leaving Eastenders. She’s expected to be gone by the end of the year. She can’t help but be nervous for the future. Dan has been brilliant at reassuring her that she’ll land a big role; he likes to use Michelle Keegan leaving Coronation Street as an example.”
Jacqueline – who has daughter Ella, two, with Dan, and is stepmother to his son Teddy, three, from a previous relationship – has previously spoken about wanting another child, but work commitments have held her back.
She said, “I feel broody, but it’s not the right time. I did think as soon as we got married I’d try for another child, but I didn’t realise how much I’d love working again.”
Friends say Jacqueline is hoping to try for another baby soon with the former TOWIE star, who has recently opened a tattoo parlour in London.
The source says, “Even though it’ll be nice to have some time out from work, Jacqueline is feeling a bit anxious. She had her heart set on more acting work – maybe a period drama – but having another baby will delay that. She’s nervous about which step to take next, but Dan has reassured her he’ll support her whatever she decides to do.”
