Reports surfaced last week that Elvis Presley’s widow, Priscilla, had left the controversial Church of Scientology. Representatives for the 72-year-old actress have since denied the claim, but it thrust the religion back into the spotlight. Scientology still counts A-listers such as Tom Cruise and John Travolta among its members, but Priscilla’s daughter, Lisa Marie, and actresses Katie Holmes and Leah Remini are among those who have famously left.
