Kim & Kanye clash over surrogate

Insiders say Kanye’s bond with the woman carrying their child has caused tension at home

Kim Kardashian K and Kanye West were pictured looking miserable as they celebrated her 37th birthday in LA last week, and the rapper was noticeably absent from her elaborate Halloween celebrations – which saw her attend a series of star-studded bashes alone.

Now insiders say tension has been building between the couple for weeks as Kim, 37, grows concerned about Kanye’s closeness to their surrogate.

Kim revealed in a trailer for Keeping Up With The Kardashians in September that she and Kanye, 40, were expecting their third child and their surrogate – thought to be a married college graduate with two kids of her own – is reportedly due in January.

A source reveals, “Kim knows it’s important she and Kanye maintain a good relationship with the surrogate, but she feels Kanye has established a much better bond with her.

“She feels Kanye speaks to the surrogate more than she does and has a better rapport, so she’s feeling a bit left out. It’s been causing tension between them.”

Just last month, insiders revealed to Closer that Kim felt Kanye, 40 – who is the father of her four-year-old daughter North and 23-month-old son Saint – was becoming too involved with the surrogate’s life, even suggesting she play his own songs to the unborn child and has a team of nutritionist and health gurus on hand to ensure she has the best possible care.

Our source reveals the issue is continuing to cause problems between the pair. The insider says, “Kim and Kanye have different attitudes when it comes to how involved they should be. Kanye is keen on inviting the surrogate to spend more time with them for the final three months of the pregnancy. But Kim isn’t so sure and worries it could drive an even deeper wedge between herself and Kanye.”
