BERNICE’S MONEY WOES

Samantha Giles, who plays Bernice, says her character has got her hands on a winning betting slip found in the handbag of an OAP who died at her salon. She says, “She’s got no relatives – but Bernice has got so anxious about keeping the money. Then the solicitor tells her they HAVE tracked down someone who’s related to the old lady, and when Bernice breaks out in hives she thinks it’s karma. The person is somebody in the village – and Bernice wants to be able to do the right thing.”
