Defiant Lauren: “I won’t get back with Joey”

Newly single Lauren Goodger is set to appear on Celebs Go Dating as she hits back at rumours that she’s reunited with her convict ex

She confirmed S her break-up with jailed boyfriend Joey Morrison in August, but reports surfaced last week that Lauren Goodger was trying to win him back, after sharing a photo of herself cuddled up to his pregnant sister Char on social media.

Lauren, 31, dated Joey on and off for 15 months before their split this summer, tearfully confessing that a relationship behind bars had become too difficult to cope with.

BECOMING A MUM

But sources say the former TOWIE star has insisted there’s no going back for the pair, and that she’s ready to throw herself back into the single world.

A source says, “Lauren’s defiant that she’s not reuniting with Joey. She posted the picture because she’s still close friends with Char and all of Joey’s family – she’s not visiting him in prison any more and they haven’t been in contact. She wants to start dating again and find someone she can be serious with – she’s still desperate to become a mum soon.”

Following her split from Joey, Lauren shared a string of photos of her former size 8 body and revealed she was motivated to get back in shape.

And following reports she was set to star in the new series of Celebs Go Dating, Lauren revealed on her Instagram page last week that she’d had a meeting with Channel 4.

The source says, “Lauren’s ready to date again and wants to look and feel her best. She doesn’t care whether she ends up dating a famous person or not at the moment – she just wants to finally find a genuine relationship. She’s turned back to her exes in the past, but she’s adamant that she’s breaking that vicious circle now.”
