TOLD A LIE…

When somebody recently asked me if I was OK. I generally wear my heart on my sleeve, but we all have down days and sometimes I find it hard to admit when I’m upset. I should have just been honest, as it’s always more beneficial to tell the truth and let your emotions out rather than bottle them up. I shouldn’t be afraid to admit when I’m down.

CRIED…

I watched the documentary Black Fish recently and it left me absolutely distraught. It’s about the treatment of killer whales at Sea World and it’s truly heartbreaking viewing. I hate to think about the way we treat animals for entertainment. There’s one scene where a baby Orca gets taken from its mother. I cried buckets.

HURT SOMEONE’S FEELINGS…

Maybe I have without realising, but how awful is that? I’d hate to think I’d hurt someone without knowing it.

LOST MY TEMPER…

I don’t often lose my temper – but when I do it’s an eruption. A while ago, someone was very rude to me and I finally snapped back. I often choose silence as a weapon but, on this occasion, I told this person where to go and they stood there in shock. It felt good! I’m quite laid back, but I’m not a pushover and I really felt this person was being unfair, so I stood my ground.

TOLD SOMEONE I LOVED THEM…

My mum. I tell her every day. She’s my only family. We have such an incredible bond. My relationship with her is the most important one to me. I think it’s weird as I know people who barely see their mums or only speak to them every so often. I see my mum every day and I speak to her constantly. We’re best friends. ● Roxanne joins the Sky Ocean Rescue Plastic Whale Tour. To find out how you can become an #Oceanhero, visit skyoceanrescue.com
