“I didn’t want my wedding to be a circus”

She previously gushed that she S “couldn’t wait” to become the future Mrs Noble – but Vicky Pattison shocked fans last week when she revealed that she’s postponing her wedding to John Noble for a year, saying, “I don’t think I’m ready to be a wife yet”.

The I’m A Celeb! star, 30 – who got engaged to businessman John, also 30, in July – now says that, after a whirlwind few months and a star-studded engagement party in November, they’re putting the brakes on and making sure they have plenty of time to plan their perfect day.

CAUGHT UP IN THE MOMENT

Vicky tells Closer, “I’m postponing my wedding for a year, so it’ll be in July 2019. I gave myself just one year to plan the wedding after we got engaged – I got so swept up, so excited and so caught up in the moment. All I could think was, ‘I want to make this amazing man my husband.’

“We had a mega stressful engagement party and it left us feeling a little bit once bitten twice shy. I didn’t want my wedding to be a circus, to be honest, so we want to take our time to make sure the day is perfect.”

Before settling down with John, Vicky had her fair share of troubled relationships. After dating Stephen Bear, 28, Spencer Matthews, 28, and a failed engagement to former Geordie Shore co-star Ricci Guarnaccio, 31, she began a relationship with former flame John – whom she briefly dated in her early twenties – and the couple got engaged after 16 months together.

Vicky admits that things have moved fast for her and John, saying, “It feels like we’ve been on a roller coaster! It’s all been quick and we’re still really fresh.

“We’ve known each other for ten years – but two years is an awfully short space of time to rekindle your romance, get to know each other again, get engaged and then to get married! It was too much and I felt like I was rushing this amazing time of my life.”

While she’s previously been averse to having children, Vicky recently admitted that seeing close pal Ferne Mccann become a mum has made her broody, saying, “You’ve rumbled me! I’m starting to feel slightly less against the idea of children.”

But she tells Closer she’s not ready to give up her body to a baby just yet.

She says, “John is really broody but then again it’s me that has to make the sacrifice. I’d have to give up my lifestyle and everything to have one. I’m not ready to give up Prosecco and my body yet – so not any time soon.”

LAVISH PLANS

Since rising to fame in Geordie Shore, Vicky’s career has gone from strength to strength. After being crowned Queen of the Jungle on I’m A Celeb! in 2015, she’s been inundated with TV work and business opportunities, including presenting I’m A Celeb! spin-off show Extra Camp in 2016 and launching her own fitness and nutrition range.

She says, “This year is shaping up to be

very aggressive for me work-wise – which I love – but I don’t want our wedding to be planned quickly in four months like some sort of afterthought. John and I both deserve to lavish our time on our wedding and so we’re giving ourselves a year and a half to plan it instead.”

Vicky has also wowed fans with her body transformation over the years – in 2014, she went from a size 16 to a 6. She has fluctuated between a size 12 and

an 8 ever since.

DITCHING THE DIET

And while Vicky says she’d love to have a killer body on her wedding day, she’s not prepared to jeopardise having fun with her fiancé in the build-up. She says, “Everyone wants to look amazing on their wedding day, don’t they? It’s a given – but I won’t be breaking my back or putting myself on a dangerous diet to get there. I want to enjoy the wedding process! There will be a raucous hen do, cake-tasting with John and lots of fun, but there certainly won’t be any calorie counting!” ● Tune in to Vicky’s show Ex On The Beach: Body SOS on Wednesdays, 8pm, MTV
