After Lisa Snowdon posts a wistful throwback bikini selfie from two years ago, friends say the star is determined to change her figure
She’s a body S inspiration for legions of women, but Lisa Snowdon has admitted she has her own insecurities and has set herself a goal of regaining her former figure.
Last week, the TV personality and former model posted a bikini selfie taken two years ago on Instagram, writing, “Would love to get back to this. My own personal goal and fitness inspiration”. Days later, she looked happy appearing on TV in a swimsuit, as she presented a segment on ITV1’S This Morning from Mauritius.
FITNESS OVERHAUL
Despite being a champion of body confidence, Lisa, 45, recently admitted, “I don’t want to wobble when I run for the bus. I want my clothes to feel comfortable.”
And friends of the 5ft 8 star – who fluctuates between a size 8 and a size 12 – say that although she feels happy at any size, she’s planning on overhauling her workouts. A source says, “Lisa loves feeling trim and toned and wants to show women that you can get your dream body at any age.”
Talking about her relaxed attitude to dieting, Lisa previously admitted, “If I want to have a flat tummy, I have to eat less sugar and not drink white wine, which I love! But I don’t want to live like a saint – I want to have fun.”
FEELING SETTLED
The source says, “Lisa typically has a berry smoothie for breakfast and a salmon salad for lunch. She’s cutting down on her meat and having smaller portions in the evening. She’s also mixing up her workout routines and does Reformer Pilates most mornings, along with two spinning classes a week, as well as strength training with her personal trainer, which includes squats, lunges and suspension work.”
Meanwhile, Lisa – who had a five-year on/off relationship with A-lister George Clooney in the early noughties, and was attacked in public in 2014 by then-boyfriend Adereti Monney – finally got her happy ending in 2015, with entrepreneur George Smart, to whom she got engaged last Christmas. The source adds, “Lisa is head over heels in love and feels everything has finally slotted into place.”
