They sent the rumour mill into T overdrive when I’m A Celeb! winner Scarlett Moffatt sat in the audience to cheer on Love Island’s hunky Kem Cetinay as he performed for the very first time on Dancing On Ice earlier this month.

And while Kem, 21, claims he and Scarlett, 27, are just friends, he couldn’t help gushing about her during an exclusive chat with Closer. He told us, “She’s a funny girl and at the same time she is doing amazing with work – I can really relate to her. She gives me advice so she’s a good friend to have.”

Kem was crowned winner of last year’s Love Island alongside then-girlfriend Amber Davies, 20, but in December they announced they had broken up because their “schedules made it difficult”.

However, it seems Amber was also suspicious about Kem’s growing friendship with Scarlett. When a fan commented there was “definitely something going on” between them, she replied in a Tweet, “You said it.”

While Amber recently admitted she wouldn’t “rule out” the possibility of giving things another shot in the future, Kem is focusing on moving on. He tells us, “For me, I’m happy where I’m at, at the moment, being single. So yeah, that’s where my head’s at – I’m in a good place.”

It’s no surprise that Kem is feeling confident. In his first week on Dancing On Ice, he and pro-skating partner Alex Murphy came joint top of the leaderboard alongside singer Jake Quickenden and his skate partner Vanessa Bauer.

Telling us about the show, Kem says, “I’m loving it. Honestly, I was so nervous before the first show, I’ve never had nerves that bad in my life. I was literally suffering a minute before going out there but then, when I finished, it was the best buzz.”

He adds, “It’s unbelievable I was top of the leaderboard, considering a few weeks ago I couldn’t even skate! It just shows that if you put everything into it, people will enjoy watching it. And I genuinely did put everything into it.”

It’s been a crazy whirlwind for Kem since he won Love Island in July. Alongside Dancing On Ice, he will be hosting the first Twitter Live session at this week’s National Television Awards with his villa bestie Chris Hughes.

And the reality star reveals he hasn’t been short of celeb friends since leaving the show.

He tells us, “Liam Payne is probably the nicest celebrity I’ve met. When I was chatting to him at the Radio 1 Teen Awards in October, I just couldn’t believe how much he was interested. I was texting him after, too. He’s a proper good guy, always looking out for me and asking me how I am.”
