KATIE ‘HURT’ AFTER JAMIE HANGS OUT WITH HIS EX
He walked out of a live interview last week when a reporter asked him about his rumoured girlfriend, Katie Holmes. Now pals tell Closer that Jamie Foxx refused to talk about the actress in an effort to stop speculation surrounding their relationship, especially after he was snapped with his ex just a day earlier.
Pals say Dawson’s Creek star Katie, 39, was left hurt when Jamie, 50, was pictured having lunch with his ex, Kristin Grannis – with whom he shares eight-year-old daughter Annalise.
A source says, “Jamie and Katie have wanted to keep their relationship low profile because they’ve been so nervous about speculation and succumbing to the ‘Hollywood curse’, like so many of their friends. Jamie was particularly sensitive during the interview, given the fact the photographs of him having lunch with his ex had caused a bit of tension between the pair.”
The couple are believed to have been an item for four years but, until recently, have rarely appeared in public together. Katie was reportedly forced to keep the romance under wraps, as part of a clause in her divorce settlement from Tom Cruise, allegedly banning her from publicly dating for five years.
The source adds, “Katie and Jamie have gone to great lengths to keep their romance private, so having so much media attention surrounding them has been hard. It’s put pressure on them – something they’ve been keen to avoid.”
