MARK AND MICHELLE UNITE AMID BACKLASH
As he’s caught “liking” yet another racy pic, Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan put on a loved-up display
They’ve been T refreshingly honest about the ups and downs of being in a long-distance romance, with Michelle Keegan even admitting last week that being happy in work helps to strengthen her marriage to former TOWIE star Mark Wright.
The pair were forced to live in separate countries for eight months last year, whilst Michelle filmed BBC hit Our Girl and Mark relocated to LA for a presenting job with Extra.
REUNITED
Michelle, 30, was all smiles as she was reunited with her husband of two years at LA airport last week, and revealed in a magazine how the couple were more patient with each other and don’t “sweat the small stuff”. She added, “I think because we’re really happy in our careers it helps with the relationship as well.” But she revealed she had no plans to permanently relocate to LA.
Meanwhile, Mark vowed he would give up his Hollywood life for Michelle should she ever ask him to. In a TV interview, he said, “Nothing is forever and if it ever wasn’t working [with Michelle], I’m straight on an 11-hour flight back home. My marriage is first.”
And seeming to support Michelle’s comments that she’d rule out a move to LA as she’s too much of “home bird”, he added, “I mean if Michelle didn’t like living here and she wanted me to move home, and she preferred life back home, then for sure I would.”
But insiders fear this apparent show of unity is at odds with the pair’s baffling social media activity earlier in the week. Just days before his interview, it emerged that Mark, 31, had yet again been caught out “liking” another woman’s racy Instagram picture. The snap in question was of wrestler Brie Bella, wearing lingerie and lying on a bed – prompting his former TOWIE co-star Chloe Sims to openly criticise his behaviour, calling it “disrespectful” to Michelle. The backlash comes not long after he “liked” – then quickly “unliked – a skimpy picture of Rita Ora.
FLIRTY BEHAVIOUR
Michelle also caused a stir on social media when she wrote a flirty message to her Our Girl co-star Luke Pasqualino, 28, posting a heart and kisses and writing, “Happy Buuurfday beaut!” to which he replied, “Thanks Keegy! Big love beautiful”.
And after reports last year that Mark was upset with their growing bond, insiders say it’s unsurprising that Michelle is drawing attention to their friendship again, just days after Mark has been “liking” pictures of other girls.
The source says, “Michelle wants to keep Mark on his toes, but playing tit for tat only makes her feel more distant. Despite trying to put a positive spin on things, they both struggle with being apart.”
