Coleen’s fury as party girl mocks Wayne

Just weeks after giving birth, Coleen Rooney has to cope with Wayne being hit by a £5m tax bill… and a very unwelcome blast from his past

- By Anna Tabrah

She’s suffered S a stressful week, with both husband Wayne’s huge tax bill and party girl Laura Simpson, who was with him on a boozy night out when he was caught drink-driving in September, being dragged back into the headlines.

And sources say that Coleen Rooney, 31 – who gave birth to Cass, her fourth son with Wayne just last month – is feeling particularly irked that Laura, 29, is back in the spotlight after a fling with reality star Jeremy Mcconnell.

A source says, “Coleen is caring for Cass, as well as having to deal with all this. It feels as though it’s just one thing after another. She was frustrated to learn that Laura had been posting cryptic messages aimed at her online. Coleen is not going to give someone like that the time of the day, but it still hurts her.”

Office worker Laura rose to infamy after her night out with Wayne, 32, with the mum of one claiming she and the footballer had enjoyed “a kiss and a cuddle”. She later claimed she would have slept with him if he hadn’t been arrested. He was caught by police at the wheel of her car and later banned from driving for two years and ordered to carry out 100 hours of community service.

Afterwards, Coleen removed her wedding ring, later admitting she “didn’t feel right” wearing it as she was unsure about the future of her marriage.

NIGHT OF PASSION

Last month, Laura seemed to make a thinly-veiled jibe at the couple’s marriage when she wrote on social media, “Homewreckers are a myth. If another woman was able to come in and destroy your relationship… it’s because your man opened the door and let her in.”

Reports then followed last week that she’d had a “dirty night of passion” with CBB star Jeremy after a picture emerged of them in bed together at his Holiday Inn hotel room in Manchester. When a follower named Tracy Tweeted, “Can’t believe you stooped lower than Wayne”, Laura hit back with an insult to the footballer, posting, “Higher actually he’s massive and been nothing but nice to me every time I’ve met him so don’t judge Trace”.

MONEY WORRIES

Laura’s comments came in the same week that Wayne was handed a £5m tax bill after he invested in a controversial film finance scheme on the advice of experts, which backfired.

The source adds, “Her close pals feel it’s bound to be worrying for Coleen because it’s not the first time that he has run into money problems. It has come at the worst time as it seems the cost of their new Cheshire mansion is spiralling and this is the last thing they need.

“Coleen really can’t bear for any more negativity in her life and feels as though this is all creating a bit of a cloud over what should be a happy time for them. Her mum and girlfriends are trying to rally round her. All Coleen wants to do is dote over their newborn without any extra stresses.”
