Dakota tells Gwyneth: ‘Back off from Chris!’

She marked her ex-husband’s birthday earlier this month with a strange Instagram post, in which she referred to his as her “brother” – and pals say Chris Martin’s decision to spend the entire day with Gwyneth Paltrow has upset his new girlfriend, Dakota Johnson.

A source says, “Chris was at home with Gwyneth and their kids – Apple, 14, and Moses, 11 – on his birthday. She made him a lavish breakfast before the whole family went for a long walk along the beach, then spent the afternoon watching films and ending the day at their favourite local restaurant for dinner. Gwyneth made it clear to Chris that it was important for the kids they all spent his birthday together as a family.”

The pair made the term “conscious uncoupling” famous when they ended their ten-year marriage in 2014 – and have since gone on to document their close relationship with family holidays and reports that the Coldplay singer, 41, is even set to walk the actress, 45, down the aisle when she marries her fiancé Brad Falchuk, 47.

But pals say Fifty Shades star Dakota, 28, is growing tired of Gwyneth’s smothering behaviour. The source says, “Dakota wasn’t happy with Gwyn for ruining her birthday plans for Chris, but he’s agreed to start putting Dakota first, so she’s hoping they can move on from this and that Gwyn gets the message to back off a bit.”
