Mum-of-two Apryl Brown, 50, from LA, dreamed of a bigger behind to shake off playground bullies who’d labelled her “flat butt”.

In 2004, she was offered silicone injections, but the silicone used was actually bathroom sealant. Apryl was rushed to hospital as a massive infection sent her body into shock, and her hands and feet were starved of oxygen.

“Eventually, they went in and removed the silicone, along with the butt cheeks,” she says. But all four limbs needed to be amputated.

“I survived to warn others of the dangers of black-market surgery,” she says.
