Closer’s psychologi­st Emma Kenny says there are small steps we can all take to fully embrace life… ● Be grateful. Every day, write down three things you feel grateful for. Perhaps a song you love came on the radio, or the sun was shining. It will train your brain to look for the positives in each day. ● Don’t worry. When you feel stressed, ask yourself if this is something you’ll still be worried about in a week. Or even a month? If not, it’s probably not as important as you think. ● Make time for friends. Once a week, spend 20 minutes with a friend, catching up over a cup of tea. Listening to their problems, and sharing yours, will help you feel connected.
